The new features in this release are:

1. Added inactivity timeout feature for devices shared at server
2. Fixed bug with sharing/nick naming/auto connecting identical devices
3. Added option to auto start client with Windows startup
4. Minor bug fixes

November 16, 2009 : USBDeviceShare v1.3 released:

The new features in this release are:

1. Added password based security for server
2. Updated status icons for USB device nodes in client and server UI
3. Added status bar message indicators for various operations
4. Server UI now displays server name and listening port number

Server

1. Automatic sharing of devices
2. Automatic sharing of newly plugged-in devices
3. Device properties window
4. Deny sharing of specified devices
5. IP Filter to deny/allow specified clients to connect with the server
6. No need to install device driver for devices at server
7. Auto start server with Windows startup

Client

1. Automatic connection to unavailable devices when they become available

General

1. Polling between server and client to monitor connection loss
2. Fixed issue of udsstub driver getting loaded for all driver-less devices in the system

The software consists of server and client components. USBDeviceShare server must be installed where devices are locally present. Client must be installed where devices need to be remotely plugged in over network/internet.
